Jacob L. Esarey, Bucknum Rancher, Claimed By Death

Jacob L. Esarey, a well known rancher of Bucknum, died at nine o’clock Thursday morning at the State Hospital, following a long illness from tuberculosis of the bone. His suffering was intense and he has been growing gradually weaker so that his family gave up all hope of his recovery. What makes his death at this time particularly sad, is the fact that his oldest daughter, Mrs. Ellen Sisler, died yesterday at Palisade, Colo. It is doubtful if he grasped the fact of her death, as he was sinking into his last sleep when the word reached Casper.

The deceased was born about sixty years ago in Indiana, and it was there that he met and married Miss Victoria Fleming, thirty-five years ago. Five children were born to them in Indiana, and several years ago they removed to Oklahoma, coming from that place to Wyoming seven years ago.

Funeral services will be held at the Saturday afternoon, the Rev. J. J. Saturday afternoon, the eRv. J. J. Giblin officiating.*

Besides his wife, the deceased leaves a son, Richard Esarey who is in the sheep business with Lewis Barker of this city, and three daughters, Mrs. Carrol Fuller, Mrs. Minnie Saak and Mrs. Maggie Smith.
